Secrets of the Sea Tall Tag Swap

I just finished a tag swap with Red Lead Paper Works Art Sisters group on Yahoo. It was super fun!  We had to make 3 tags and use the following products from Red Lead Paper Works3 Tall Tags (4-1/4”x8-1/2” manila tags) and any of Red Lead’s exclusive Sea rubber stamps. Here are the three tags I created.

For my 3 tags I used Broken China and Tumbled Glass Distress Inks to color my tag.  After the tags were dry, I misted them with Perfect Pearls Mist.  I chose the Star Fish Collage rubber stamp for my background and the Along the Sea stamp for the mini tag.  I tore a strip of manila tag board and glued along the right side of the tag to represent the "beach."  I inked it a little with Antique Linen Distress Ink and then dabbed on Snow Cap Adirondack Acrylic Paint to make it look like Sand.  The word Beach (discontinued Sizzix die) was cut out of card stock, painted with Snow Cap Adirondack paint.  I then applied Glossy Accents and sprinkled on a fine, white sand.  The images I used are some scraps I had left over from Graphic 45's On the Boardwalk collection.  I finished the tags off with some charms I made from shells, beads, and some little metal starfish.

Here are the tags I received:

This is by Cathy Doan.  So creative--I love it!

This tag is by Debbie Moon and it is really cool!  The bottom of the tag is like a little shadowbox filled with little treasures from the sea.

Kathleen Leanna is the artist that made this very creative tag. Click to get a closer look--it is beautifully done.
