"Voices of Inspiration" Artists Reception

Waverly House, Springfield MO

I love art and love seeing the work of gifted artists.  My long-time friend Darlene Prater, along with 28 other area artists, displayed their art in this juried show.  Jazz guitarist John Strichler performed while we browsed mixed media arts, watercolor, glass, oils, fiber and  jewelry.  I met jewelry artist Becky Dalton, who does BEAUTIFUL jewelry.  It was inspiring to hear her talk about her art.

Darlene and I have known each other for many years.  I can't 

even remember how we first met--seems like we were always 

friends.  The early years of our friendship, we did craft shows 

together. Both of us had small children at the time, and they were 

often with us.  Years later, I took a regular job and we lost track 

of each other.  We reconnected on Facebook about a year ago--

how cool is that!
