Caribbean Charm Necklace

I have been having so much fun getting ready for this Caribbean Cruise with Tim Holtz.  FINALLY, it is almost here!  This is not my first cruise, but it is the first time that I have been involved in the pre-cruise activities. I joined a Yahoo group set up for the cruise and have gotten to know some of the creative people we will be with.    Some of these fellow cruisers have been on every one of Tim's cruises--how cool is that!  I signed up to do a Charm Swap with one of the groups, so I am excited about that as well.

I wanted to make a necklace with some of the "beach-related" components I have been saving for a long time.  So this is what I ended up with.  I wasn't sure if I liked it when I first got everything hung on the chain because there were more charms I wanted to make.  I had originally thought about making things tied directly to the cruise, but loved the shells and the turquoise and purple beads so much, I just kept making them! I might still add some map beads, photos, etc.  We'll see how I feel about it later.

The clear vial will have sand in it.  I put four on the necklace so I can get a pinch of sand or tiny shells from the beach at Cocoa Beach, Cococay, St. Thomas, and St. Maarten.
