Our Favorite Vintage Diamond Necklaces

Diamonds are indeed a girl’s best friend. They complement any outfit, look stunning against the skin and also play nicely when worn over a blouse or sweater. Necklaces in particular easily become the focal points of a well planned jewelry ensemble. When you are ready to add one or more diamond necklaces to your collection, Peter Suchy has exactly what you are looking for.

White Gold Heart Diamond Necklace

This pendant-style necklace features 14k solid white gold as the setting material. Four hearts showcase 100 round diamonds that weigh approximately .75cts. What makes this a wonderful necklace for any occasion is the versatility that the pendant provides. Spread apart the hearts to wear them in a row. Conversely, fold them inward to wear them as a larger pendant.

Onyx and Diamond Rope Border Necklace

A platinum setting holds a stunning black onyx circle. The middle of this circle is made up of a pave set featuring 30 round diamonds weighing in at .30cts. Crafted in Italy, the artisan chose a rope border design for the pendant and the chain.

Art Deco Star Ruby and Diamond Necklace

Fashioned from palladium, the focal point of this necklace is an oval purplish-red ruby that weighs a stunning 21.91cts. It is an Art Deco lover’s dream-come-true. What makes the ruby pop is the combination of two European-cut diamonds weighing .64cts, nine full-cut diamonds weighing .10cts as well as eight single-cut diamonds weighing .15cts.

Filigree Sapphire and Diamond Pendant Necklace

This vintage platinum necklace dates back to the 1930s. A prime example of Art Deco design, it highlights a round sapphire weighing .25cts. Its vivid blue color draws the eye. Two diamonds set in a “V” pattern and 35 round stones weighing .40cts round out the design. Wear this pendant against a solid-colored blouse or sweater.

Accordion Citrine and Diamond Necklace

Eighteen-karat solid white gold is the backdrop for this accordion link necklace. Yellow gold makes up the ends as well as the middle. An orange-yellow citrine in a pear shape is set in the middle of the necklace. Mother of Pearl sections offer visual separation. Of special note are the 45 ideal-cut round diamonds that surround these stones. Weighing in at 1.00cts, it is the collection of diamonds that really makes this necklace stand out.
